Shimla News reported that Kaja would celebrate Himachal Day on April 15. Chief Minister Sukhinder Singh Sukhu will chair the state-level event, where seven distinguished individuals will receive the Chief Minister’s Civil Service, Inspiration Source, and Himachal Pride Awards.

The upcoming event in Kaja will honor several Himachal Pride awardees, including Chandail, Rani, Rana, and Thakur. Additionally, the National Health Mission director will receive the Civil Service Award for their outstanding work on the tuberculosis program. Finally, the organizers will present the Inspiration Source Award to Sharma, Chauhan, and Singh, who serve as principals of Pine Grove School Kasauli.

History of Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh became a state on April 15, 1948, when it was reorganized as the Chief Commissioner’s province. On July 1, 1954, it merged with the state of Bilaspur, and on November 1, 1956, it became a Union Territory. Himachal Pradesh added Kangra and other hilly areas of Punjab on November 1, 1966, but remained a Union Territory. Himachal Pradesh became India’s 18th state on January 25, 1971, with the passage of the Statehood Act in December 1970.
