In Himachal Pradesh, there was rain in Sirmaur and Shimla. The were reports of snowfall in Baralacha, Shinkula, and Rohtang. Six districts are under a flood warning per the weather agency. Around 1:30 PM on Saturday, a landslide in the Sirmaur district forced a shutdown of Paonta Sahib-Shilai-Gumma National Highway 707. People ought to stay in secure areas, contrary to the officials.

Most of Himachal Pradesh saw rain on Saturday. The districts of Shimla and Sirmaur received heavy rainfall. Nahan (1683.3 mm), Dhola Kuin (67 mm), Jubbarhatti (53.2 mm), Narkanda (19 mm), and Dharamshala (13 mm) are places where rainfall was measured.
The Lahaul Valley’s Lady of Kelong, Rohtang, Shinkula, Baralacha, and Kunzum peaks received snowflakes on Saturday. Due to significant rainfall today, the weather service has issued a flood warning for some of the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh Floods).
Fast Flowing Water in Sirmaur
After continuous rain throughout the night in Sirmaur district, the Markanda River’s water flow increased significantly on Sunday morning, washing away the nearby Hanuman temple. Heavy water levels have affected the Salani Bridge in Nahan and the surrounding areas.

Search for Missing People in Floods Continues
After the floods in Shimla, Kullu, and Mandi districts on the last day of July, caused by cloudbursts, teams continue to search for missing people. The army, ITBP, NDRF, and SDRF personnel are actively involved in the search. Currently, 65 state highways remain closed for operation.
The Darcha-Shinkula route has been severely damaged over approximately 200 meters due to water in the Lahaul Valley. This damage has disrupted vehicle traffic between Zanskar and Manali. Despite Shinkula, multiple streams in Lahaul-Spiti remain flooded.
National Highway 707 Closed Due to Landslide:
The Paonta Sahib-Shilai-Gumma National Highway 707 in Sirmaur district was closed around 1:30 PM on Saturday due to a landslide. The road near Sataun remained closed for three hours. In Nigulsari, Kinnaur, stones are falling from the mountain. However, the road has been reopened for traffic. Landslides are occurring on the road between the market and the Public Works Department rest house on the Nerwa-Shimla main route.

Flood Warning in Six Districts:
On Sunday, the weather department issued a flood warning for some areas in the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur due to excessive rainfall. The department advised people to avoid areas near rivers, streams, and flood zones.
