The producer of the controversial anti-Muslim propaganda film, “The Kerala Story, ban has issued a legal threat against the West Bengal government following the ban on screenings. The state’s ban aims to prevent violence against Muslims due to the film’s false claims of 32,000 Hindu women joining ISIS. The “Kerala Story” ban has ignited a legal battle between the producer and the government.

Mamta Banerjee implemented a ban to prevent hatred and violence and maintain peace in West Bengal. However, Tamil Nadu theaters stopped screenings due to protests, box office performances, and critical reviews before the ban.

Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah plans legal action if the West Bengal government doesn’t reconsider ban on film screenings. Despite criticism, the filmmakers have garnered support from Hindu extremist groups and politicians. Anurag Thakur, BJP leader and Indian Information Minister, controversially linked opposition to the film with the backing for ISIS.

This move follows false claims by Hindu extremists stating that the mosque was previously a Hindu temple.
