The jeweler who created the piece, Raj Kumar, gave an explanation of how long the project has been in the works, saying, “We have been in the jewelry industry for over 100 years, building our name. We never did this kind of project before, and it took us approximately a year and a half to do with a lot of study and design work.” The statue, he said, symbolizes their aim even though perfection was not quite attained: “It represents our heartfelt admiration for PM Modi.”
